Be Comfortable Not Knowing

Pastor Joel

We think that we have to have the answer for things to work out.

Sometimes there is no logical solution and we'll just get more uncomfortable trying to figure it out. This os where faith comes in.

When Moses led the Israelites he didn't know how everything would workout but he had faith in where God was taking him.

Sometimes we think it's a lack of faith to not know but take the pressure off, God knows!

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as  yet  there  were none of them.
Psalms 139:16 NKJV

As long as you're on the throne God will step back.

The Compaq Center to Lakewood plan didn't make sense.

Be ok not knowing how.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
Proverbs 3:5 NKJV

God's ways are not our ways.

God may not be showing you the future but that doesn't mean it can't be more than you imagine.

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:26 NKJV

Paul didn't see it as a lack of faith not to know what to pray.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28 NKJV

He was comfortable not knowing because he knew that whatever happened would work out for his Good.

Then the multitude rose up together against them; and the magistrates tore off their clothes and commanded them to be beaten with rods. And when they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to keep them securely. Having received such a charge, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks. But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed.
Acts 16:22‭-‬26 NKJV

In the face of prison Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises even though they didn't know how it would work out.

We can't see it because we think natural and God thinks supernatural.

Take the worry time and use it for worship time!

Now the Lord had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you.
Genesis 12:1 NKJV

God didn't tell Abram where he would be going.

So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.
Genesis 12:4 NKJV

God asked Abraham to sacrifice his promised son.

Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am." Then He said, "Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you." But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, "My father!" And he said, "Here I am, my son." Then he said, "Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?" And Abraham said, "My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering." So the two of them went together. But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, "Abraham, Abraham!" So he said, "Here I am." Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him  was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. And Abraham called the name of the place, The- Lord -Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, "In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided."
Genesis 22:1‭-‬2‭, ‬7‭-‬8‭, ‬11‭, ‬13‭-‬14 NKJV

Obey without the details.
